I’ve not been updating this blog much, so it’s falling into the online archive territory… bu that’s fine, I shall update and maybe do a complete overhaul soon. In the meantime, here is the first release of the year, Apocalypse Jazz Unit has just released our 60th album, and to celebrate that fact, we have made it a limited CD, only 50 copies available.

Here’s a bunch things to look out for over the next few months. Firstly here’s the upcoming SKRONK events.
Today are two SKRONK related releases, first is the Apocalypse Jazz Unit recordings from SKRONK’s 1 to 5 and secondly is the open mic sessions from SKRONK #5, a proper killer!

Coming up soon, is the amazing SKRONKFEST, an extension of the regular SKRONK nights at New River Studios. from 4pm to 11 pm we’ll feature an array of different improvising groups, many of the regular gang from SKRONK and many more. Some will be… and there will be some secret surprises. In addition we will have as always a number of Open Mic slots throughout the night, so come along and perform and watch!

New FAT COP live e.p, this is from our second gig at New River Studios on 5/8/16 as part of the Black Shape event, thought it went pretty well…
Haven’t been posting much in here lately but have been very busy. One recent endeavour has been running this new event twice a month. Here you can download recordings of the first two events. SKRONK is an open mic night for improvising musicians. We have feature acts each time and so far it’s been amazing, below are links to the facebook page and the bandcamp where the albums are released.
