Apocalypse Jazz Unit CD out now!!

I’ve not been updating this blog much, so it’s falling into the online archive territory… bu that’s fine, I shall update and maybe do a complete overhaul soon. In the meantime, here is the first release of the year, Apocalypse Jazz Unit has just released our 60th album, and to celebrate that fact, we have made it a limited CD, only 50 copies available.

Upcoming gigs and a couple of new releases…

Here’s a bunch things to look out for over the next few months. Firstly here’s the upcoming SKRONK events.

September 7th and 27th
October 11th and 25th
November 8th and 22nd
And, Apocalypse Jazz Unit are performing at Hundred Years Gallery on Sunday September 25th, an afternoon show starting at 3 pm. If you’ve been to any of shows there you’ll know how good they are.

SKRONKFEST… 27th August

Coming up soon, is the amazing SKRONKFEST, an extension of the regular SKRONK nights at New River Studios. from 4pm to 11 pm we’ll feature an array of different improvising groups, many of the regular gang from SKRONK and many more. Some will be…  and there will be some secret surprises. In addition we will have as always a number of Open Mic slots throughout the night, so come along and perform and watch!

Haven’t been posting much in here lately but have been very busy. One recent endeavour has been running this new event twice a month. Here you can download recordings of the first two events. SKRONK is an open mic night for improvising musicians.
